IAMA Instructors
IAMA – International Mountain Climbing Academy is the mountaineering and climbing school of the San Marino Alpine Club, of which I have been Director since the beginning.
Since 2008, IAMA has started training the first instructors on the Climbing Technique/Caruso Method directly under my guidance. These are amateur figures, who can operate exclusively in an association context, however, their theoretical and practical knowledge of the Method is in-depth. In their training, in fact, the IAMA Instructors learn the same contents as the IAMAS MAS. Over time, some professionals have also completed the IAMA Instructors course and there are still foreign professionals (Alpine Guides and Instructors/Moniteur d’Escalade) with this title.
In addition to the Caruso Method Climbing Instructors of Level I and II, IAMA has also organized the course for trainers. Some of these have subsequently given life to IAMAS , the first professional association of Sports Climbing Instructors in Italy, of which I am currently Technical Supervisor and responsible for the technical quality of the training provided.
IAMA also trained the first Caruso Method Ski Mountaineering Instructors.
